Grace, the Sovereignty of Questions
173 BE: Fiḍál el Sulṭán-i-Masá’il

BeMy-1-560x561Tuesday, the 17th day of the 15th month in the year 173 BE––the second year of the 10th Váḥid in the first Kull-i-Shay’ or the “Beginning of the Love of All Things”. The day began at sunset on December 26 for the Badi calendar.

Love Me, that I may love thee. If thou lovest Me not, My love can in no wise reach thee. Know this, O servant.

from the Hidden Words, Arabic #5

Tuesday – LAW 3:
The Law of Karma (or Cause and Effect)

Badi Challenge: Contemplate Grace as the Sovereignty ( sovereignty, king, lord, majesty, sovereign, monarch, authority, potency, the power of sovereignty, the all-possessing, the most potent of rulers) of Questions (questions, principles, truths, matters, mysteries, subtleties, obscurities, intricacies, problems).

Then Jehovah answered Job out of the windstorm: “Who is this who is obscuring my counsel And speaking without knowledge? Brace yourself, please, like a man; I will question you, and you inform me. Where were you when I founded the earth? Tell me, if you think you understand.
–– Hebrew Scriptures, Job 38:1-4 (NWT)

My Reflections of the Day

“Who dares to question me?” Sovereignty recognizes the authority and privilege of asking questions, of inquiry, of investigation. God asked Job a series of questions; in pondering those queries, one cannot realizes that there is much that is beyond our control and even beyond human understanding. There’s no prohibition in asking, no taboo, no “sacred cow” that cannot be scrutinized. In reality it is almost incumbent upon each person to revisit the important questions in order to gain certitude for one’s own convictions.

Collectively, it’s clear that finding many answers requires collaborative effort. We benefit from accumulated knowledge; but that should not prevent us from revisiting the information periodically. In fact, gaining thorough understanding often requires reviewing information and contemplation; life experiences often shed new light and reveal a more profound level of discernment. Having an “open” mind enables one to consider varied perspectives and adjust understanding to more closely match reality. Avoiding fanatic dogmatism increases the chances of identifying and correcting error and thus improving the base of knowledge.

“When the student is ready, the teacher will appear” is an adage that asserts the attractive force; one must be prepared for learning. This preparation may come as formal education, life circumstances, or the pursuit of knowledge itself.

Experiencing love can be akin to water soaking into a sponge; a damp (or moistened) sponge can immediately absorb a lot more water than a dry sponge. So, any opportunity to reach out to others and enabling them to experience the good of life will assist their receptivity to the “better” in life.

LYRICS – “(Where Do I Begin) Love Story”
courtesy A-Z Lyrics

Where do I begin
To tell the story of how great a love can be
The sweet love story that is older than the sea
The simple truth about the love she brings to me
Where do I start

With her first hello
She gave new meaning to this empty world of mine
There’d never be another love, another time
She came into my life and made the living fine
She fills my heart

She fills my heart with very special things
With angels’ songs , with wild imaginings
She fills my soul with so much love
That anywhere I go I’m never lonely
With her around, who could be lonely
I reach for her hand-it’s always there

How long does it last
Can love be measured by the hours in a day
I have no answers now but this much I can say
I know I’ll need her till the stars all burn away
And she’ll be there

How long does it last
Can love be measured by the hours in a day
I have no answers now but this much I can say
I know I’ll need her till the stars all burn away
And she’ll be there
